A HUNDRED WOMEN PAINT TO SAVE LIVES

From 23 to 29 October 2003, the Dassault Group and the renowned Artcurial gallery hosted an event entitled Cent Femmes pour la Vie, to raise funds for breast cancer research at the Gustave-Roussy Institute, Europe’s foremost cancer research centre.

In response to a proposal from the Gustave-Roussy Institute, Dassault Group decided to support this artistic project, which involved auctioning a hundred pictures by a hundred women from all walks of life and all age groups, and all degrees of artistic talent. The funds are to be used to develop an innovative support and treatment programme for breast cancer patients at the institute.

The auction took place to conclude a fascinating and moving exhibition that drew an enthusiastic, supportive audience of 4000 to the Artcurial gallery.
The event proved a great success, raising close to €120,000 for the Gustave-Roussy Institute’s ambitious new concept seeking “full one-day diagnosis” for breast cancer.
