Course du cœur
Course du cœur, a 4-day challenge in support of organ donations
This relay race, sponsored by Professor Cabrol and supported by the French Ministry of Education, is the only sports event in France that is organised to promote organ donations. It also focuses attention on the successful rehabilitation of organ recipients via physical activity and sports.
19,000 individuals in France are awaiting transplants that will allow them to resume more or less normal lives. To build public awareness for this cause, 15 teams from major corporations and a team of organ recipients will participate in this relay race to show that "Organ donations are the way to go!"
The Dassault Group and its subsidiaries – Dassault Aviation, Le Figaro, Sogitec and Dassault Falcon Jet – are pleased to renew their support and participated for the 15th consecutive year in this walking marathon, covering a total of 750 km from Paris to Les Arcs in 4 days and 4 nights.
More than a sporting event, Course du Cœur is above all a human adventure, a perfect illustration of the fact that at any moment in our lives, we can each serve as a springboard for someone else. It is also the occasion for the company to set up a variety of events organised around the race: public awareness campaigns, sporting events in preparation for the Course du Cœur, a partnership with the occupational health service, exhibits, drawing contests for the children of employees... a host of activities that reflect the commitment of both the company and the participants, in order to highlight the importance of organ donations and of making one's choice known to friends and family.
This year the company as a whole will say a resounding "YES to organ donations!"
More than ever, our team will be at the heart of this movement, standing alongside those who are awaiting transplants, those who are undergoing dialysis and those who are already organ recipients, to promote this message: "Organ donations are the way to go!"
